Alan Free / Senior Vice President

Alan is a Senior Vice President with over 35 years of industry experience, currently leading the Chemical, Energy, and Natural Resources industry practice. A high-level leader, he has helped clients accelerate growth through transformation programs that combine industry best practices with consulting expertise in a “player/coach” model. His deep experience in business transformation, post-merger integration, and operations improvement drives tangible results, enabling clients to achieve significant and sustainable reductions in COGS and SG&A, improve inventory productivity, and enhance service level metrics. His approach fosters long-term business relationships built on accountability, partnership, and shared success.

Before joining EFESO, Alan served as a trusted advisor to a variety of clients across multiple industries, including process manufacturing (downstream oil & gas, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals), discrete manufacturing (industrial products, automotive), retail and consumer goods, as well as wholesale distribution and logistics.

Alan holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University’s Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
